Mr. Brightside

Process: I used a mix of muted colors and bright colors, along with various shapes and lines layered on top of each other to convey the chaos shown through emotion in the song I chose (Mr. Brightside).

Ideas: I wanted to show the mixed emotions the man in the song feels, most specifically jealousy, in an abstract illustration. The spirals and lines leading the eye to the center of the piece represent the spinning of the man's head and his spiral into his extreme emotions. The bars in the foreground represent how the man feels caged and trapped due to his emotions.
